BBJ: Laid off? Make the most of your time

(NECN) - Many laid off workers are staying positive and making the most of their time away from work, according to a new survey.
A Career Builder survey of about 1,800 people found that laid off workers are spending their time attempting to grow personally and professionally.
Twenty-three percent of those surveyed said that they spent more time with friends and family, while looking for a job.
Others worked on home improvement, volunteering more or starting their own businesses.
